What you get

One passage in, everything you need out

Built for bivocational pastors, lay preachers, local preachers and Readers who prepare most weeks around a job and a family. It is not for writing a sermon for you: the outline is an outline, not a script.

  • Verse-by-verse study

Ten sections: at a glance, context and background, the passage, key observations, takeaways and interpretation, the Christ connection, life application, discussion questions and prayer.

  • Sermon / teaching outline

Big idea, setting the scene, your points with their verses, the handout answers, application and public-domain hymn suggestions.

  • Service slides

About 12–18 slides to project: the reading, the big idea, key verses, your points, questions and a closing line.

  • Congregation handout

One or two pages, A4 or US Letter, with the passage, fill-in-the-blank notes that follow your points, and questions.

Big-idea slide: forgiveness flows from mercy already received
Christ connection slide: The King who forgave the unpayable debt did so by paying it Himself on the cross
The big idea, from the sample outline

This passage teaches that forgiveness flows from mercy already received, so the disciple who has been forgiven an unpayable debt by God is bound to release the comparatively tiny debts of others.

Guide

A sermon preparation workflow that keeps the text in charge

1. Read the passage before anything else

Read it several times, aloud if you can, and note what you see before you open a commentary or a tool. ScripturePath prints the passage word for word from the KJV or BSB, so the text on your outline, slides and handout is the text you read.

2. Find the big idea

Try to say what the passage teaches in one sentence. The study proposes one, and you can sharpen it or replace it. Everything else, from points to application, should serve that sentence.

3. Let the points come from the verses

Each point on the outline carries its verse reference, so you can check it against the text. If a point isn't in the passage, cut it.

4. Connect it to Christ, then to this week

The study includes a Christ connection and concrete application. Use them as prompts and make them your own for the people in front of you.

5. Prepare what the room needs

Project the reading and big idea, give out the handout so people can follow and take notes, and keep the outline on the pulpit. All of it comes from the same study, so it stays consistent.

6. Leave time to pray and rehearse

Groundwork done early in the week leaves the last evenings for what no tool can do: praying over the text and the people, and saying the sermon out loud until it is yours. Preparing the pack by Friday is the point.

How it works

From passage to print in four steps

  1. 01

    Pick a passage or topic

Type a reference like Matthew 18:21–35, or a theme like forgiveness, and choose the KJV or BSB.

  2. 02

    Choose depth and tradition

Quick or Normal for a typical week; Deep Dive (Preacher plan) for more detail. Your tradition sets the day and service labels.

  3. 03

    Review the study

Read it through. It is groundwork for your own preparation, not a finished sermon.

  4. 04

    Download the pack

Outline, slides and handout as print-ready PDFs, A4 or US Letter.

Scripture quoted word for word

Verses come from the King James Version (1769) or the Berean Standard Bible. Both are public domain and stored with the app, so every verse on your study, slides and handout is the published text. Scripture is never edited, paraphrased or generated.

One foundation, every tradition

Every study is written inside historic, Trinitarian Christian faith with Christ at the center. Your tradition changes emphasis, terms and the day of worship, never the foundation. About ScripturePath

Questions

Frequently asked

Does it write my sermon?

No. It prepares the groundwork: context, observations, points with their verses, application, questions, and printouts built from them. The outline is an outline, not a script. Please read everything and make it your own.

Which Bible translations can I preach from?

The King James Version (1769) and the Berean Standard Bible. Both are public domain and stored with the app, so every verse is quoted word for word and never generated or paraphrased.

What doctrinal guardrails does it follow?

Every study is written inside historic, Trinitarian Christian faith with Christ at the center. Choosing a tradition changes emphasis, terms and the day of worship. It never changes that foundation.

Can I try it before paying?

Yes. The free plan includes a pack every month with the full study and handout, and previews of the slides and outline. No card is needed.

Can I use it for a sermon series?

Yes. Prepare one pack per passage as the series goes. Each pack carries its own service date and your church name, so the handouts and slides line up week by week.

Does it suit my denomination?

You can pick a tradition, such as Baptist, Methodist/Wesleyan, Anglican/Episcopal, Pentecostal/Charismatic, Reformed/Presbyterian, non-denominational or a Sabbath-keeping church. It adjusts terms, emphasis and service labels. ScripturePath isn't affiliated with any denomination.
